New life, new mindset. Don't let old habits take over your life, as if Christ hasn't changed anything within you.
We are still in the process of daily spiritual growth, but remember that we now have a new identity in Christ. It's time to learn to leave behind a life and mindset of sin and live completely for God.
Less of the old life, more of Jesus.
Three Steps to Living a New Identity:
- Realizing Your New Status: View yourself as someone who has died to sin and risen with Christ.
- Renewing Your Mindset: Cast away old habits and ways of thinking that don't glorify God.
- Commitment: Commitment in Progress: Allow the Holy Spirit to guide your daily actions so that your life will impact others.
So consider yourselves dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus. — Romans 6:11 (NIV)
